Wooden handicrafts use carvings as the main method of decoration while metals, like silver and copper, are forged to form the ornate articles we see. Marble, and sometimes red sandstone, is sculpted into required shapes and polished to create lustrous pieces. There are also the world-renowned Meenakari designs whose intricacy is a remnant of the persian culture.
