1. Athirapally Falls

Located in the Thrissur district of Kerala, this spectacular waterfall is the tallest in Kerala, achieving a height of about 80 feet. The waterfall is formed by the Chalakudy River, which is seen to originate from the Western Ghats. After covering its distance from the Western Ghats to Kerala, the waters turn turbulent around the Athirapally Waterfalls. Invaded by several large rocks, the waterfalls in three different plumes. Additionally, not far from another famed fall named Vazhachal Falls, the Athirapally Waterfalls are fondly called the ‘Niagara of India’.
