Visit Khotachiwadi- a small village located in the Girgaon, Mumbai. Khot, a Pathare Prahu founded this place in the late 18th century. He sold the plots to the local families working for the East India Company. There used to be 65 houses, now there are 28.

The houses in the area conform to the old-portegues architecture. These houses are made of wood and are brightly colored. They also have open verandahs. Walk around to feel transported to Goa or back in time.

Kotachiwadi is one of the historical sites which is under threat due to rampant globalization.
